The Milwaukee lawn bowls club is hosting the 2024 Bowls USA National Championship taking place September 7-13, 2024 in Lake Park. The National Championships is a premier bowls event of Bowls USA, awarding men’s and women’s championships in singles and pairs events. Forty eight players from across the country, who have won their division playdown, will be competing on our greens and enjoying our hospitality.

We welcome the public to our clubhouse and greens for our annual Open House. Our members will provide you with a friendly introduction to the sport of Lawn Bowling on the following dates:
We will offer demonstrations and organize short games every hour. Guests should wear comfortable clothing and flat-soled shoes (no heels) or go barefoot. The club will supply all games equipment.

The season is fast approaching. Like every year at this time, we need to spend some time on our greens, grounds and house to prepare for the upcoming season. Many of you have already volunteered your time to help with the new portico project and doing work on our house and grounds . Thank you for that. Now its time for the rest of us to help the club prepare for the 2024 season.
We have designated the next 3 Saturdays for this purpose.
April 20th, 27th and May 4th beginning at 9am each week
Each Saturday will have very specific tasks that we want to accomplish. This coming Saturday, we plan to do the following things:
Each of the tasks should only take an hour or two. So no need to spend your whole morning down at the greens.
If the list of tasks don’t fit your skill set or you can’t make it this week, stay tuned for next week’s list of tasks. It is expected that each member volunteer time for the club. These work days are a great opportunity to do that.
