The second No Bocce Bowl Tournament was held on July 20, 2014. Seven bowlers participated. 1st place was awarded to Roland Faas and 2nd place went to Ted Bailey. Participants dressed in the colors of the Italian Flag: red, white, and green. Charlene Harmon organized the tournament.
Milwaukee bowlers competed in the club’s 2012 triples tournament Saturday June 23rd. Triples teams of men and women who bowled together during morning and afternoon games also enjoyed a barbecue lunch on the clubhouse terrace and cocktails afterwards. We held the 4th Annual Veteran Novice Tournament on September 27, 2014. Veterans (more than 2 years of lawn bowls experience) were paired with novices (2 years or less of lawn bowls experience). The Milwaukee Lake Park Lawn Bowling Association hosted the 2014 Central Division Open Pairs tournament July 11-12. Our annual Potlicker took place Sat and Sun June 7-8. A spirited full round robin was played with 8 pairs teams playing 7 matches over two days and congratulations are in order to the following: Thank you to tournament director, Jim Grzybowski and to Jim and Bob Schneider and Nick Schneider for preparing our green.
The first Club Event of the season at Lake Park Lawn Bowling Club will be held on Memorial Day weekend May 26-27. Novice and experienced bowlers are encouraged to participate.
