Leagues

Milwaukee Lawn Bowling offers multiple leagues where individuals and teams gather weekly for social and competitive bowling throughout the season.  League play occurs in both afternoons and evenings and features the different disciplines of the sport (singles, pairs, triples, and fours). Members are welcome to participate in as many leagues as they wish.

Team Bowl

This Monday night league requires teams of four (or more) members to compete in fours, triples, pairs and singles matches each week. Members may sign up as a team or as individuals to be placed on a team. Each team is required to have a female member bowling each week. It is recommended that teams roster more than 4 members to accommodate teammates who need to miss a week. You MUST field a team of 4 players each week and one must be female. Team captains are responsible for finding substitutes. Teams are placed in one of two pools based on skill level. Each pool of teams will play matches in a round robin format over a 3-6 week cycle. After completing a round robin cycle, the pools will be adjusted through promotion and relegation and teams may add or drop players or drop out entirely if they wish, prior to beginning a new round robin cycle. Cumulative and cyclical standings are maintained over the season.

Registration:

Sign up for the league by logging into the member app online and joining the appropriate league in your member account. Team Captains: please email team participants to the league director. If you are an individual and do not have a team, please email the league director who will try to place you on a team. Regular substitutes are also needed for this league.

Learn and Bowl

Tuesday nights are designed to give newer members an opportunity to learn and play lawn bowling. It is also an opportunity to play and record a singles match in the Singles Ladder Challenge. Additionally, any member may show and create a pick-up match with other members who are present. During the month of June, the public may also visit for a free demonstration and opportunity to try lawn bowling on Tuesday nights. There will always be veteran bowlers present to support new member learning and public visits.
