The Milwaukee Lake Park Lawn Bowls Club hosted the 2012 Central Division Open Pairs Tournament July 21-22. Congratulations to tournament winners (pictured left t0 right) 3rd place (Bronze) Max Cavender/Jim Cavender, 2nd place (Silver) Crandall Hays/Paul Legwinski, 1st place (Gold) Bob Schneider/Rob Behncke, 4th place Anna Witt/Steve Nelson. Thanks to tournament coordinator Anna Witt for a successfully run event.Twenty bowlers from the Central Division endured two days of extreme heat and humidity July 30 – 31 in pairs competition over the course of five challenging games on very fast greens, followed by playoffs and the championship game that produced the following top five teams. This past weekend Bob Schneider emerged as the winner of men’s singles playdowns and will represent the Central Division in the US National Championships in San Diego, CA October 24-28.
