MLPLBA hosted two Open Houses this year. We had about 20 guests on Sunday, May 24, 2015 and another 20 guests on Friday, June 12. 2015. Twenty-six club bowlers participated in the club’s triples tournament Saturday June 11th. Triples teams were determined from those who signed up and assigned by tournament directors Steve and Alice Sedgwick. MLPLBA hosted the William D. Reed Club Triples Tournament on Saturday, June 21. Twelve players participated. This past weekend Milwaukee bowlers Anna Witt and Rebecca Nguyen emerged as winners of Women’s Pairs Playdowns and will represent the Central Division in the US National Championships in Arcadia California October 16-20. This annual event is competition amongst bowlers who represent Bowls USA’s seven divisions. Congratulations and best of luck to Anna and Rebecca.
The second No Bocce Bowl Tournament was held on July 20, 2014. Seven bowlers participated. 1st place was awarded to Roland Faas and 2nd place went to Ted Bailey. Participants dressed in the colors of the Italian Flag: red, white, and green. Charlene Harmon organized the tournament.
