The Milwaukee Lake Park Lawn Bowling Club was recently featured on Wednesday’s Fox 6 Wakeup News morning show. Following are interviews with club members Carl Landgren and Bob Schneider.
The first Club Event of the season at Lake Park Lawn Bowling Club will be held on Memorial Day weekend. Novice and experienced bowlers are encouraged to participate. The Milwaukee Lake Park Lawn Bowls Club will hold a public Open House on Saturday and Sunday July 14-15 from 11AM to 3 PM. This women’s only tournament was held on September 12, 2015. Four women took turns playing with and against each other in a round-robin pairs tournament. Pat Wimmer was the decisive winner. Tiebreakers were needed to determine the final standings of the remaining participants. Thank you to tournament director, Glorianne Mather.
We had 16 entrants. The winning team was Jim Grzybowski (skip) and Jerry Mathwig (lead), defeating Crandall Hays (skip) and Min Waite (lead). After the winning team, each player was ranked according to wins and plus points. Crandall finished third, Min fourth, Brian Schieble fifth, and Carl Landgren sixth.
The Milwaukee Lake Park Lawn Bowls Club hosted the 2012 Central Division Open Pairs Tournament July 21-22.
