Veteran Novice Pairs 2026
Our Veteran Novice Pairs tournament returns on Sat Sept 26. Members may now register in the club app. Please register as an individual or a team. If you are searching for a partner, please note that you can filter club members by veteran or novice in the club directory. The tournamnet directors can also help you find a pairs partner. Expect two games in the morning and two games in the afternoon sandwiched by club breakfast and lunch included with your $12.00 entry fee. Meal contributions from participants are welcome. Please bring your cash-only entry fee on the day of the tournament.
This club tournament was inspired by the veteran novice pairs tournament played at Jefferson Park in Seattle, WA and we started playing our own version in 2011, typically with two matches in the morning and two matches in the afternoon. This tournament teams veterans with more than three years of lawn bowling experience with novices who have three years or less of lawn bowling experience. It is a fun and excellent way for our newer bowlers to gain tournament experience. Veteran club members are encouraged to invite newer and novice members to play on their team. Matching team tops or colors are encouraged. At the end of play, the top scoring team is declared the tournament winner and will have their name engraved on a plaque in the clubhouse and will receive custom club t-shirts.
