This past weekend Anna Witt and Glorianne Mather emerged as winners of women’s pairs playdowns and will represent the Central Division in the US National Championships in San Diego, CA October 24-28. This annual event is competition amongst bowlers who represents the USLBA’s seven divisions. Congratulations and best of luck to Anna and Glorianne. Runners-up in the women’s pairs playdown competition were Pat Wimmer and Charlene Harmon.Carl Landgren and Steve Nelson emerged as winners of men’s pairs playdowns and will represent the Central Division in the US National Championships to be held in Seattle August 23-28. Anna Witt participated in the Southwest Division Women’s Open tournament this past Saturday 5/14 and Sunday 5/15. Her triples team – Janice Bell (skip), Anna Witt (vice), and Nancy Nishikawa (lead), was part of a field of 54 competitors. Our annual Potlicker took place Sat and Sun June 7-8. A spirited full round robin was played with 8 pairs teams playing 7 matches over two days and congratulations are in order to the following: Thank you to tournament director, Jim Grzybowski and to Jim and Bob Schneider and Nick Schneider for preparing our green.

The Mixed Pairs tournament allows members a taste of competitive bowling by offering the opportunity to pair with fellow club members with whom they may not have previously bowled with.
