2013 Playdowns – Men’s Singles

This past weekend Milwaukee bowlers Anna Witt and Rebecca Nguyen emerged as winners of Women’s Pairs Playdowns and will represent the Central Division in the US National Championships in Arcadia California October 16-20.  This annual event is competition amongst bowlers who represent Bowls USA’s seven divisions. Congratulations and best of luck to Anna and Rebecca.

This men’s only tournament was held on September 12, 2015. Ten men formed 5 pairs teams.  Thank you to tournament co-directors, Bob Schneider and Leif Andresen. 1st place: Bob Schneider/Matt de St. Aubin 2nd place: Rob Behncke/Jim Cavender 3rd place: Crandall Hays/John Kirkwood

This women’s only tournament was held on September 12, 2015. Four women took turns playing with and against each other in a round-robin pairs tournament. Pat Wimmer was the decisive winner. Tiebreakers were needed to determine the final standings of the remaining participants. Thank you to tournament director, Glorianne Mather.

MLPLBA hosted the Central Division Playdowns Pairs tournament on July 18-19, 2015.  MEN – Bob Schneider and Rob Behncke were undefeated going into their last game when they were narrowly defeated by the team of Leif Andresen and Jim Grzybowski.  This put them into a playoff for the championship against the other one loss team…

The first Club Event of the season at Lake Park Lawn Bowling Club will be held on Memorial Day weekend.  Novice and experienced bowlers are encouraged to participate. We plan a fun-filled weekend, limbering up our arms and legs while figuring out just “what” the “grass” is.  There will be two 14 end games each…

Carl Landgren and Steve Nelson emerged as winners of men’s pairs playdowns and will represent the Central Division in the US National Championships to be held in Seattle August 23-28.
