2013 Playdowns – Men’s Pairs

This past weekend Milwaukee bowler Steve Nelson emerged as the winner of Men’s Singles Playdowns and will represent the Central Division in the US National Championships in Arcadia California October 16-20.  This annual event is competition amongst bowlers who represent Bowls USA’s seven divisions. The second No Bocce Bowl Tournament was held on July 20, 2014. Seven bowlers participated. 1st place was awarded to Roland Faas and 2nd place went to Ted Bailey.  Participants dressed in the colors of the Italian Flag: red, white, and green. Charlene Harmon organized the tournament.

The Milwaukee Lake Park Lawn Bowling Association hosted the 2014 Central Division Open Pairs tournament July 11-12. Congratulations to the tournament winners: 1st place – Carl Landgren/Mark Mathwig, 2nd place – Max Cavender/Jim Cavender, 3rd place – Steve Nelson/Rob Behncke. The 2013 Blind Pairs tournament was held on Saturday of Memorial Day weekend.
