The Milwaukee Lake Park Lawn Bowling Association hosted the 2014 Central Division Open Pairs tournament July 11-12. Congratulations to the tournament winners: 1st place – Carl Landgren/Mark Mathwig, 2nd place – Max Cavender/Jim Cavender, 3rd place – Steve Nelson/Rob Behncke. This past weekend Milwaukee bowler Pat Wimmer emerged as the winner of Women’s Singles Playdowns and will represent the Central Division in the US National Championships in Arcadia California October 16-20. This annual event is competition amongst bowlers who represent Bowls USA’s seven divisions. Congratulations and best of luck to Pat.

15 bowlers particpated in the first Veteran/Novice tournament held at Milwaukee Lake Park LBA on Sunday, September 25, 2011. Creative lawn bowling attire was encouraged and some teams got into the spirit by wearing tie-dyed t-shirts, Hawaiian shirts, and Packers jerseys. Milwaukee bowlers competed in the club’s 2012 triples tournament Saturday June 23rd. Triples teams of men and women who bowled together during morning and afternoon games also enjoyed a barbecue lunch on the clubhouse terrace and cocktails afterwards. On Sunday afternoon, July 21, 16 club members comprising 8 teams competed in the club’s first “No-Bocce” Bowl Tournament.
