Reed Club Triples Tournament

After taking a hiatus for several years and then being merged with the Otto Hess Invitational in 2013, the Sydney Steller Invitational returned as a separate women’s only tournament on September 6, 2014. While only two teams played, it was a fine day of pairs competition. The winners were Rebecca Nguyen and Glorianne Mather.

Veteran and novice bowlers came together to form six pairs teams and competed against each other in a 6-end round robin tournament on September 26, 2015. The tournament director was Carl Landgren. This Bowls USA tournament was held in the Los Angeles, CA area September 26 – October 3. There were 190 male and 82 female participants, including our own Anna Witt and Rob Behncke. This past weekend Bob Schneider emerged as the winner of men’s singles playdowns and will represent the Central Division in the US National Championships in San Diego, CA October 24-28.  This annual event is competition amongst bowlers who represents the USLBA’s seven divisions.  Runner-up in the men’s singles playdown competition was Steve Nelson.   Congratulations…
